It's been a short week! I hope everyone takes a chance to rest up this weekend in preparation for the HIS production of Annie next week!
Grade Six parents I have almost all the paperwork and fees for the Graduation field trip. It would be of great assistance to the organizational process if those who have not turned in their fees please do so as soon as possible. Thank you.
This week in Grade Five we continued on with Poetry. The students turned in their diamante poems, and we looked at rhyme, rhythm, and sensory language. We also covered more on synonyms, and homophones. The Grade Fives also finished the Trading Game activity in Social Studies.
In Grade Six we compared and contrasted two stories, The Ink-Keepers Apprentice, and Jerry Pinkney. We discussed Story Structure, inferences, and perfect verb tenses. We will continue on with "The Ancient Greeks" in Social Studies next week.
How you can Help your Son or daughter:

- Encourage them to read in English for 20 minutes a day.
- Relax and rest for a big week of Annie!

I hope everyone has a relaxing break!
