Hello Everyone!

Thank you all for joining us last night for parent evening!  It was my pleasure to have met you all.

This week we finished up the chapter on Place Value in Math, and began the next chapter on adding and subtracting whole numbers. In Language Arts we have finished reading Earthquake Terror, and in Social Studies we have begun Chapter 1 People and Geography. In Science we began to investigate cells. If you would like to preview anything with your son or daughter, we will be doing the following next week:

• Unit 1 Chapter 1: People and Geography: Lesson 1-2 The Land

Science

• Unit 1 Cells

• Preview next weeks reading selection by going over the above vocabulary list; watch the video about Warren Faidley posted on our class blog; preview the spelling list from the link above.
• Review Science Vocabulary from Lesson One: Cells
• Encourage your child to read at least twenty minutes a day in English.
