Hello Everyone!
Next week the HIS Drama
Club will be performing Matilda at the Science Park Theatre on Thursday and
Friday evening. We hope you are able to come and support these young performers
as they showcase their talents!
While Drama Club
students are involved in final dress rehearsals and performances next week we
will not be covering any new material. Students will be
occupied with review and discussion so Drama club students will not be expected
to catch up on what they have missed.
This week in Math we
wrote our Chapter 16 test today, and next week we will review concepts
from throughout the year. In Language Arts we learned about our new theme,
Animal Encounters. We learned new
vocabulary, and read the story A Grizzly Family Album. We
have also begun the writing a persuasive essay.
In Science we wrapped up Chapter 11: The Solar System, and in Social
Studies we finished learning about the branches of the US government.
If you would like to
preview anything with your son or daughter, we will be doing the following next
week:

Ways you can help your
child over the Weekend:
- Encourage your son or daughter to read twenty minutes a
day in English.
A friendly reminder to
everyone that class starts at H.I.S. at 8:20 AM. Students should arrive
before 8:20 AM so they have time to unpack their bags and be ready to learn at
8:20 AM.
